This year has been a mixture of hapiness
and sadness, but it will be unforgetable for Rain Coast...
I would like to Congratulate Guillermo Ferrer Ondinas (Montserrat del Maipo),and
his handler, Andrea Contreras, for their work with Kooper, Multi Ch. BIS WG
Kooper at Rain Coast for Shadow ´s Eternity, in this 2010 : Best Newfoundland
of the Year in Chile, Best of the Working Group , and 6th of the general qualifying
of all the breeds in Chile.
This has been a very special year because Ziro, Multi Ch. BIS WG Rain Coast
Partner of Dreams , has finished this 2010 being THE U.S.A. NUMBER ONE NEWFOUNDLAND,
also of the Working Group. With just only 4 shows he finished the American
Championship, with 3 the Canadian Championship, he got 82 Best of Breed ,
16 Best of Group , 48 positions in group . 2 Best in Show, winning 4 Club
Specialties, competing against great rivals in their own field. In this 2010
Ziro has been invited for his own achivements to the 3 most important Dog
Shows of the World: Eukanuba nacional, Westminster and Cruft. We couldn´t
attend the eukanuba , we hope to asist to the Westminster in February , and
we won't be at the Cruft in March , because Ziro will be in USA untill May,
to exhibit on the National Specialty 2011 .
Kooper & Ziro's owners (Patri, Rafa, Noe & myself), we appreciate
the support of all that people who had helped us during this year. I still
remember having dinner in Madrid with Manlio Massa (Cayuga) when I first told
him about the breeding , I wanted to do back in 2003, waiting for his approval,
and from there, Ziro, Bronco, Multi Ch Rain Coast Potion Magic for Anchor
Point and Tina, Multi Ch. Rain Coast Passion for Newfies for Enyan Shadow,
were born .
Special mention to Arturo & Rocío, you had been with us all this
years and love Ziro as much as I do.
All the rivals that during this long year have made us suffer and strive in
every dog show, we want to thank you for your emails of appreciation and congratulation
for Ziro (we are not used to such thing, because in Europe we usually don´t
recognize the rival achivements and quality, we have a lot to learn from you).
Christy,thank you very much, your work has been just perfect, I'm sure you
will miss each other, it is not easy to find a handler like you (you show
tenderness and kindness) or a dog like Ziro (with that character and pride,
which make him unique).
Kathy (Seabrook Newfoundlands), you have believed in him more than ourselves,
everything you have made us feel during this year has been unique, many thanks,
you have a piece of our heart in Chipewa. I specially want to thank you for
giving us the chance to know your family, I remember fondly the "Thanks
Giving Dinner on February" with your family at your house. I think you
are a wonderful people , take care .
Life is a boat sailing, to starboard are the memories, to port is the hope,
the mixture of both is what makes a good trip, last November one of the most
important people of my life has left us, therefore I want to dedicate all
this to him, who has been enjoying it with us . FOR YOU , DAD.
